I have been updating my sewing room to be more pleasing to my eyes and less clutter.
Plus, I have added a few machines and needing a different layout of the room.
Here is a couple of before's
You will notice I had my ironing board on my treadmill. Lol! Obvious place for it right.
This corner by my small closet was a little cluttered. {Still is at moment, but getting better.}
Here my picture looks okay, but of course I had it looking good for camera!
My next post I will be showing my new set up.
My blog is about sharing my ideas and creations I make through sewing, embroidery, silhouette cameo creations, etc. My passion is sharing ideas and passing on any ability or gift that I have.

Vintage Pillowcase Dress
I finished a dress today for my grand daughter.
I bought some estate sale pillow cases from an antique shop.
This is first one finished.
I cut the dress to approximate length I wanted and cut in sleeves from top and used single fold bias tape.
I folded down 1/4" and then 3/4". I cut two pieces of elastic about 6" long and inserted.
I then made ties out of gross grain ribbon and attached at top.

Memorial
I have been pressing a rose from my best friends funeral this past year.
She was only 49 and died in a house fire. Her daughter, 12 at the time, is my Godchild.
I remembered the flowers just before Christmas and made this for her to keep by her bed.
It is a simple frame with craft paper backing. I used craft glue to place the rose.
I hope because it is dried, the craft with last.
I just wanted to share this idea on my blog in hopes someone else might find a use for this idea.

Sewing
This is the out fit I made for our grand daughter. It is a pattern from The Pink Fig. I am having problems getting my link to work. If anyone likes to help with this kind of thing I sure would appreciate it. I want to give designer credit.
We get to see them this Thursday night and I am real excited. This was my first attempt at Shirring. I can tell you my fingers are crossed that this will fit.
I re-did the shirring a couple of times, just to make sure I was doing it right.

Razorbacks Cotton Bowl
We are getting fired up around here for the Holiday Season! Including watching the Razorback's at Cotton Bowl!
Today I made a Pink Fig Pattern Top and Pants that I will be posting later. I am so excited about it. It was my first time to do shirring. I have to admit it too a few try's to get it done right.
