Painted Letters

I painted some Quirly Q letters for my neice for Christmas.
She immediately went home and put them on her wall.

It sure made me feel good because she did it so quick and sent it to me from her phone.
I got the idea for the letters from my daughter starting college in the fall.
I saw them on some of the girls doors.
You can simply put them up with sticky tac which doesn't damage doors.
I am not sure that is the correct name, but it is what it does : )

You can't see from the picture, but I painted them white and put red dots on the curly parts of the letters.

Eye Spy DIY!: Magazine Bowl Tutorial

Here's a great tutorial that Katie did at I thought I would share.
I have started something similar with coasters but didn't know about about adding the Modge Podge. That stuff turns out to be great stuff and come in all types. I've only found gloss and matte in my local stores.

Modge Podge

I bought this wood frame at  Hobby Lobby for $3.99 and the letter L for Liz for $1.99.

The fabric I found at my local Hancock's store.  It matches her bedding and curtains.

I used some acrylic paint to paint the letter L to match.

I modge podged it all on with nongloss and I think it turned out really cute!

Now all her mother needs to do it put her precious picture in it.

Here is one of my favorites!
